The pomegranate is a fruit bearing deciduous shrub that grows between 5 and 10 meter tall.This fruit is mainly seen on Northern hemisphere from September to February and on Southern hemisphere from March to May.The fruit is mainly used for juicing ,baking,meal garnishing,smoothies etc.Pomegranate is mainly originated from Iran to northern India.This fruit is mainly cultivated in north and tropical Africa,South Asia Central Asia.

Pomegranates seeds are rich in fibers and micronutrients.Its seed oil contains punicic acid,palmitic acid,stearic acid,oleic acid and linoleic acid.

It has large ,soft seeded fruit having flavour similar to watermelon.

It is soft seeded, mildly tart with both skin and nails are light pink in colour.

It has softish arils born from red blossoms.
